Meals on Wheels has been truly blessed with very faithful and caring volunteers. Their compassionate hearts towards our clients is a beautiful sight to see. They are incredibly generous with their time and always willing to show up on short notice if we need them. We couldn't be more thankful for them. They are worth their weight in gold! This program wouldn't work if it wasn't for these precious people.

What do Meals on Wheels volunteers do?
Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver hot meals to senior between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. We do not deliver on the weekends. Volunteers pick-up the meals in thermal bags and coolers at our office located at 620 Boston St. Suite 12, La Porte, IN. From there they make the deliveries. Each route comes with complete, turn by turn directions to each stop. When the deliveries are complete the volunteer returns the thermal bags and coolers to the office.
